FLOW by Maddison Gibbs x Frasers Property Industrial
Studio Gilay was approached by Frasers Property Industrial to work with Barkindji artist, Maddison Gibbs in the creation of a new and original artwork for their Sydney headquarters. This artwork would then form the foundation for the business’ new marketing collateral that our studio would help shape.
From our initial workshop with Frasers Property Industrial, we identified the themes and stories that might be told through the artwork. Once Maddie’s acrylic on canvas artwork, FLOW, was created, our studio created a Design Toolkit that broke down the artwork’s assets and its story elements, its cultural protocol around usage, colour palette, and mock-up designs. We also produced a short documentary, The Making of Flow, which explores Maddie’s process and meaning in creation.
“We spoke about connection; connecting people through infrastructure, movement while creating a sustainable future, and I linked those themes to place and country to create Flow….It is a tribute to the cultural tapestry of this land. Through respect, grounding, and action, we can shape a future that listens to its oldest voices.”
